Father Pawel Pawliszko
I am Rev. Paweł J. Pawliszko, a Roman Catholic priest and theologian dedicated to spiritual care, community leadership, and pastoral ministry. I completed my theological education here in the United States, earning both a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) with high academic honors from SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Michigan. In addition to my assignment at the parish, I have served as a federal contractor for the Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force. Driven by a deep calling to spiritual and patriotic service, I am actively working toward serving as a commissioned Chaplain in the Idaho Army National Guard. In this role, I look forward to providing vital pastoral support to our service members and fostering closer, faith-filled connections between the military communities of the United States and Poland.
Transitional Deacon Ian Willnerd
I was born and raised in Boise where I attended Riverstone International School from kindergarten through senior year. After graduating high school, I studied at Bishop White Seminary in Spokane, Washington. For the last three years, I have been at the Saint Paul Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This fall I will return for my final semester in Saint Paul.
I love running, and I completed my first marathon last October. This summer I have started training for my second. I also enjoy hiking, skiing, and good literature.
Know that I could not be more thrilled to be with you in Moscow, and I am excited to see what God has planned for our time together.
Deacon Colin Meyer
I am honored and humbled to serve as one of the deacons here at St. Mary’ Catholic Church. My wife, Kirstin, and I are grateful for the opportunity to walk with you in faith and to be part of this wonderful parish community.
I grew up in South Lake Tahoe, California, and moved to Moscow in 2005. Since then, this community has become our home, and we have been blessed by the friendships, faith, and generosity we have found here.
As a deacon, my calling is to serve Christ by serving His people—through the liturgy, the proclamation of the Gospel, and works of charity. Whether assisting at Mass, celebrating baptisms and marriages, accompanying families during times of joy and sorrow, or simply sharing a conversation after Mass, I look forward to getting to know each of you better.
Kirstin and I are excited to continue growing in faith alongside you. We ask for your prayers as we begin this ministry, and please know that you will be in ours. It is truly a privilege to serve the people of St. Mary’s, and we look forward to the many ways God will work through our parish family in the years ahead.
May God continue to abundantly bless you all as He has blessed us with being part of this wonderful parish family.
